What to expect

Help Christchurch City Council Rangers restore native wetland swales and plant up the conservation wetlands in Halswell Quarry Park.

What to bring

  • Weather appropriate clothing - layers, rain jacket, hat
  • Gumboots
  • Gardening gloves
  • Water bottle and a snack

You will receive more information in the week leading up to the event. Planting events may be cancelled if weather is too poor. 

Community planting days

Get involved in a community planting day at Halswell Quarry in 2019.

Meet at the Visitor Centre,  a single-storey stone cottage on the main drive off Kennedy's Bush Road. Directions to the planting site will be displayed.
