Summit Road closure
The Summit Road will be closed for ropes work from Monday 16 October to Thursday 19 October between 8am and 5pm.
The closure will take place between Bridle Path and Major Hornbrook Saddle, download the road closure notice for more information.
The closure applies to vehicles, cyclists and foot traffic. Crater Rim is a good alternative route for running and walking.

Some tracks on the Port Hills are still closed following the Canterbury earthquakes in 2011: Heathcote Quarry Track and Whitewash Head Track.
Flowers Track and Taylors Mistake Track from 121 Taylors Mistake Road to Taylors Mistake Beach are open.
