Flowers Track makes its way up Whitewash Head via a steep and winding path - take care if the track is wet as it can be very slippery in places.
Be sure to stop and drink in the stunning view over Sumner and as far out as the Southern Alps on a clear day. Eventually the trail will meet Scarborough Track which leads into Nicholson Park.
Although the portion of Scarborough Track that lead to Taylors Mistake Walk is closed due to earthquake damage, it is possible to walk from Nicholson Park to Taylors Mistake Walk by walking on the footpaths and roads.
Be extra careful when walking on the road as it can be busy and dangerous, especially in summer.
