This free public talk will highlight some of the special and unique artefacts uncovered as UC explores its own history.

In 2020 a special UC research project team began a project to survey heritage artefacts within the University that have links to the original Canterbury College site, now The Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora.

The purpose of the survey is to gather information on extant heritage artefacts that might help to build the narrative of the University's early history, especially as we look towards commemorating the University's 150th anniversary in 2023.

These heritage artefacts include tools, furniture, instruments, regalia, and general memorabilia that have come from the Canterbury College site or were used by College staff and students between 1873 to 1957.

Take advantage of the opportunity to view Myths and Mortals, the current exhibition at the Teece Museum. Museum doors will open at 6.30pm.
