Penny Blues Band

Deep in the heart of the Ōtautahi Delta there is a band.

A band that places their faith in the gospel of the Blues.

A band that embraces the past, present, and future of the tradition.

The Penny Blues Band: ‘In Blues We Trust’.

The Penny Blues Band(external link) are Andy Genge (Guitar/Vocals) with Luke Smillie (Drums) and Stephen McDaid (Bass). Davey Thorpe (Harmonica/Vocals) and Cameron Walsh (Guitar/Vocals) augment the trio to present a specially curated collection of blues for the Summer Sunday series.

Mudfish

Mudfish bring together the blues infused musings of local Christchurch artists Ian Waters, Lindsay Harmon, Dave Sutherland, Carl Everett and Steve Leftly. In between catching waves and jamming these long-time friends have played in some of Christchurch’s most recognised bands over the years. These talented hombres have combined their musical experience to create their own unique, acoustic swamp blues style, that is the Mudfish.
