A Place Called Home is modelled on traditional treasure hunts, TV game shows such as The Amazing Race and the popular game Stardew Valley.

Immerse yourself in early village life as you perform heritage-based challenges to gain your place in the community in an immersive heritage game. You will work with the ‘locals’ using heritage equipment to carry out specific tasks, including blacksmithing, waikawa/weaving, butter making, home chores, ropemaking and much more. There will be six individual and group tasks to perform, each taking up to 20 minutes.

Teams of up to five family and friends – or solo players – are encouraged to register early to secure your place in what will be a fun day out at Okains Bay Museum. Team numbers will be limited for maximum enjoyment.

Children are welcome to participate but must be accompanied by adults.
