Manu competition

Get amongst the fun and join any of our manu competitions over summer to win prizes and become the Christchurch City Council manu champion!

Under the Red setting of the COVID-19 Protection Framework, Summer Pool Parties will be safely operated in line with government guidelines with capacity limits.

As part of our summer season, we're hosting manu competitions all through summer at our pools. Six heats will be held at our pools across the city ahead of the grand final in March at Jellie Park.

We have four categories: under 13s, 13 to 18 years, open female and adult.

Check out our other competitions across the city:

  • February 13 – Graham Condon at midday
  • February 27 – Te Hapua Summer Pool at midday
  • March 6 – Jellie Park at midday

At the end of the competition season, the top three queens or kings of the manu will be awarded an official trophy and prizes. Spot prizes will also be distributed throughout the competition.

Bring your whānau and friends – we'll see you there!

Vaccine certificates are required to attend this event for anyone aged over 12 years and three months.
