Home and Contents - Life in the Avon Loop

Find out about life in the Avon Loop in the late 19th and early 20th century.

During this year's Christchurch Heritage Festival visit the South Library and see an exhibition looking at one particular house and the artefacts found underneath it during archaeological work there.

The exhibition, which features artefacts and house fabric, highlights the story of the people who lived in a  house in the Avon Loop and what archaeology tells us about their identity and the lives they made for themselves in a new city.

Monday to Friday 9am - 7pm
Saturday & Sunday 10am - 4pm

Closed Labour Day
