Weather a snowstorm and then seek shelter inside Hillary's Hut to see how the men of the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition lived, worked, ate and relaxed on the icy continent.

Erected in 1957 by a team led by Sir Edmund Hillary, the hut at Scott Base was New Zealand's first presence in Antarctica. It was restored in 2017 by Antarctic Heritage Trust.

The experience was created by the Antarctic Heritage Trust in partnership with Auckland University of Technology (AUT). The hut has been painstakingly recreated from 3D scans for visitors to explore.

Suitable for all audiences, 9 years of age and older.
