Estuary Fest is an annual celebration of our city’s jewel – the Ihutai/Avon-Heathcote Estuary – as well as of the coastal communities from Ferrymead to Sumner.

The festival began after the February 2011 earthquakes as a way of bringing the community together in a positive, fun way whilst also celebrating our wonderful estuary.

We offer a good mix of fun activities such as bumper boats, Crazy bikes, bouncy castles, Wipeout and pony rides.

On the stage, we offer opportunities for local performers to showcase their talent alongside headline acts.

No festival would be complete without food; we have a great range of food trucks to tickle the taste buds.

Entry to the festival is free though we do charge up to $5 for some rides to cover our costs.
