Christchurch History: A guided walk along the River Promenade

Join a two-hour walk from Canterbury Museum to the Edmonds' Clocktower and learn about Ōtautahi Christchurch history from a knowledgeable volunteer guide.

Walk in a small group (limited to 10 walkers) to explore history alongside the Ōtākaro Avon River Promenade. Learn about the part that the river area has played in the history of Ōtautahi Christchurch and the more recent central city redevelopment.

Guided by an experienced and knowledgeable local volunteer guide from Walk Christchurch, the walk runs from Canterbury Museum to the Edmonds' Clock Tower in Madras Street.

Pre-booking by 8pm on the day prior to the walk is required. Book by emailing walkchristchurch@gmail.com, please include contact details, preferred date and number of places required.

Walks will not operate in adverse weather.
