Council updates  |  8 Feb 2019

Christchurch City Council is meeting at 9.30am on 14 February. The main items on the agenda for the public part of the meeting are:

• Reports from all of the Community Boards outlining the major issues and projects happening in their areas.

• A report from the Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Community Board recommending the Council consult on a possible name change for Avonhead Park Cemetery.

• A report from Halswell-Hornby-Riccarton Community Board with a recommendation on legislation of land acquired for Halswell Junction Rd and requesting advice on a proposal to extend opening hours at the Halswell Swimming Pool.

• A report from Linwood-Central-Heathcote Community Board recommending a proposed gift and new lease of the Mt Pleasant Sea Scouts Building.

• Reports from Linwood-Central-Heathcote Community Board and Papanui-Innes Community Board on the Christchurch Northern Corridor Downstream Effects Mitigation Plan (Draft) and potential start of consultation.

• A staff report on the resignation of a District Licensing Committee member and recommending Council approve the recruitment process for a replacement.

• A staff report recommending the Council decline a grant from the 2018/2019 Metropolitan Discretionary Response Fund for a new water treatment system for Living Springs.

• The Chief Executive’s report summarizing the organisation's performance in December 2018 and January 2019.
