The Christchurch City Council is meeting on Thursday 3 May at 9.30am. The main items on the agenda for the public part of the meeting are:

  • Reports from all of the Community Boards updating the Council on the significant projects happening in their wards and issues they are dealing with.
  • A report from the Coastal Burwood Community Board recommending a series of transport network improvements around QEII Park, where a new recreation and sport centre and two new high schools are being built.
  • A report from the Council’s Chief Executive summarizing the organisation’s performance during April.
  • A report from the Mayor outlining the external activities she has been involved in over the past month. The report also outlines the key decisions of the external bodies she attends on behalf of the Council.

The public are welcome to attend the Council meeting, which will be held in the Council Chamber on the second floor of the Civic Offices in Hereford St. Alternatively you can watch the meeting on the live-stream.
