If you are looking for things to do this weekend in between casting your vote and putting your clocks forward an hour, then check out some of these events on in the city.

Get a taste of Korea this weekend.

Korean gala day

Head down to Kirkwood Intermediate School on Riccarton Rd on Saturday for a taste of Korea. The Songpa-Gu Su Sister City Committee and the Christchurch Korean School are hosting I Love Korea 2017 - a gala day with traditional dance performances, costume shows, and delicious Korean food.  Entry is free and there will be a chance for you to make your own Korean folk crafts. The gala day is on from 10am to 3pm.

The Changeover treasure hunt

Want a chance to win tickets to the world premiere of The Changeover at the Isaac Theatre Royal on Monday night? Then you need to take part in The Changeover Set Location Treasure Hunt this Saturday. Clues will be revealed via social media, with the first one being released at 10am on Saturday, giving you plenty of time to find it for the 1pm start. Simply find the location mentioned in the clue, take a selfie of yourself with the movie poster you'll find there, add the hashtag #thechangeover, upload to Instagram, then read your next clue and head off  to the next location. There are some great prizes on offer and the first person to finish the treasure hunt wins tickets to the movie premiere. 

German film festival

The best new film releases from Austria, Switzerland and Germany will be shown as part of the Goethe-Institut New Zealand's 9th German Film Festival this weekend. The festival is being staged at the Christchurch Art Gallery and will feature four films: Goodbye Berlin, Stefan Zweig: Farewell to Europe, Big & Little, and Neo Rauch - Comrades and Companions. Figure skating championships

Head along to the Alpine Ice Sports Centre on Saturday and Sunday evening and see some of Canterbury's top figure skaters in action. The Canterbury Masters Figure Skating and Open Invitation Championships are on and the public are welcome to come along and watch between 4.30 and 7pm both days. Admission is by gold coin donation. Make sure you dress warm, bring a rug and a cushion. 

Car boot sale

If you're in the mood for some bargain hunting St Bede's College is holding a car boot sale on Sunday in the college grounds (210 Main North Rd). The sale is on from 9.30am until midday.
