ChristchurchNZ: Economic monitoring

ChristchurchNZ is the Council’s tourism, major events and economic development agency and monitors economic activity and performance of Christchurch and Canterbury.

ChristchurchNZ compiles monthly and quarterly reports(external link) covering the local economy, and publishes in depth publications(external link) for key regional topics, such as the visitor economy, the rural economy, the ageing population, and innovation in Canterbury.

Central city business was severely affected by the earthquakes but is continuing to recover.
