Details:

  • We're constructing a new outlet for the Hoon Hay basin, a control structure in Cashmere Stream, and realignment of a section of Cashmere Stream and Quarry Road drain.
  • These works will contribute to the functioning of the new stormwater facility, allowing stormwater from the Hoon Hay basin to cross into the Eastman wetland prior to discharging to Cashmere Stream.
  • The works are happening in the centre of the site and contractors will be getting access via Sutherlands Road and the Council land between 750 and 740 Cashmere Road.
  • Contractors will lay a gravel access road down the hill from Cashmere Road and will be replacing the fence across the front of the Council property.  Some of the earth dug out as part of these and other works on the site will be placed in the area north of 740 to 700 Cashmere Road. These fill areas will be stabilised and grassed.
  • The construction works for the outlet and control structure are expected to take approximately 7 months to complete however it will take a number of years before the facility is fully open for you to enjoy.
  • We thank you for your patience during the construction.
