It is that time of year again with the 2019 South Island Wine & Food Festival  happening on this Saturday, 7 December.

With more than 40 wineries showing their wares, along with live entertainment and tasty food, this years event is sure to be popular.

Since the festival is all about our excellent South Island wines, make it a stress-free travel day and have a designated driver.

If you can't find a willing driver, consider a taxi or take public transport(external link)

The bus stop, on Rolleston Ave, will remain open.

The taxi drop off point will be on Rolleston Ave, outside the Christs College Assembly Hall.

Whichever way you want to travel, make sure that you plan your journey to get there and back again with the minimum of fuss.

The gates open to festival goers from 11 am with the festival ending at 7 pm.

There will be no car-parks available at the venue.

A number of on-street car parks are available on the surrounding streets of Armagh St, Park Tce, Montreal St & Cranmer Sq. However, these are limited in number so, first in will be first served.

Go here(external link) for a useful tool to help you find nearby car parking buildings.
