Fun, free event for older folks

Warm up and enjoy good music and food at the Winter Blast at Richmond Workingmen’s Club Social Hall on Thursday 1 July.

The annual event for older adults is funded by Hagley-Ferrymead Community Board with the support of local groups and organisations.

It will be hosted by entertainer Janice Gray and feature a solo on the  bagpipes by Joshua Smith, who is going to compete at the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow in August.

Another highlight will be ‘Senior Chef Taste Sensations’ instead of the usual afternoon tea.

Winter Blast is free and no bookings are required however numbers are limited to 300 – it will be ‘first in, first served’.

It starts at 1pm and finishes at 4pm, at Richmond Workingmen’s Club on London Street.
