What is EM Bokashi and where can I get an EM Bokashi Home Composting Kit ?
EM = Effective Micro-organisms and can come in a range of forms. EM liquid is simply added to sawdust to make EM Bokashi. EM liquid is a combination of beneficial microbes used for a variety of applications in the home garden, in agriculture, horticulture and waste management. For more details on EM go to their website, by the link below. The Bokashi system does not require the addition of EM liquid to function. The bran like material that comes with the Bokashi system called "compost-zing" has been made using EM liquid, and contains the beneficial microbes essential for the effective function of this system.
