How are Christchurch City Council recycling crates identified?

The Christchurch City Council or Real Recycling logo is on all official Real Recycling Crates. There is no way of identifying which property it belongs to unless you write your address on it using a non-removable marker or paint.

Christchurch City uses green Real Recycling Crates and the 'old' Banks Peninsula District Council used black recycling crates. Since the amalgamation only green Real Recycling Crates will be allocated to residents.

PLEASE PRINT YOUR STREET NAME AND HOUSE NUMBER ON IT

Customers, in areas where crates are frequently stolen, have found that marking their crates has detered the thieves.
