The refuse truck / recycling collector has damaged my car / property / land. Who do I contact?

Contact your Contractor to discuss the situation so that an investigation can take place. It is important to provide as many details as possible of the incident including Company name, time, registration, location and where possible the truck number. This is displayed on the front and back of each refuse truck and is separate from the vehicle registration number. Contact details for your contractor can be provided by calling the Council Infoline.

It is also advisable that you notify the Council as we would have an interest in the matter from a Health & Safety perspective.

If you are unhappy with the outcome you need to contact the Police.
