How do I arrange for a new/replacement headstone?
Arrangements for a headstone are made by the family through a monumental mason. They are listed in the yellow pages under Monumental Masons. The Monumental Mason will liaise with the Christchurch City Council to confirm the burial plot and apply for the necessary permit.
To enquire about what headstones are permitted in a particular cemetery contact the Cemeteries Administrator.
