Can I get access to the beach to ride my horse?

Yes, from 1 April - 31 October you can ride from Spencer Park (Heyders Road to the Southshore Spit) and Clifton Beach (between Shag Rock and Cave Rock). A float park is available at Spencer Park and beach access is sign posted.

Horse Riding is only permitted from Spencer Park heading towards the Waimakariri River Mouth between November and March.
