How can I find out what the water grades are for Christchurch beaches and Rivers?
Recently the standards for assessing contact with recreational water has changed from a pass / fail system based on bug numbers, to a 5 grade system based on a combination of a sanitary inspection category and bug numbers.
Environment Canterbury have a website which lists the water quality for various swimming locations in Christchurch and Canterbury.
