Can a Building Consent be issued prior to a Resource Consent?
A Building Consent may be issued prior to the approval of a Resource Consent, however this will be subject to the certificate attached.
It may state: "No work may commence until any required resource consent is granted."
A Building Consent allows you to carry out building work in accordance with the consent and associated plans and specifications, provided all other requirements have been met.
