Antarctic Heritage Trail brochure
This self-guided heritage trail has been created in order for Christchurch’s links with the Antarctic to be fully appreciated. The trail links eight individual sites within three main precincts, each significant in their relationship with Antarctica. The three precincts are the Central City, Lyttelton, and the Christchurch Airport, which is home to the International Antarctic Centre.

Christchurch before 1850 brochure
Use this brochure to guide you to traces of the first peoples on the landscape of Christchurch. The brochure identifies two trails, the Inner City Heritage Trail and the Coastal Heritage Trail. Information panels and plaques have been erected along the trails that provide stories about historically significant sites. The brochure also outlines the major events in the early history of Canterbury, ending with the Canterbury Association settlement in 1850.
Historic Christchurch brochure
This self-guided heritage trail can be undertaken by foot. The brochure gives the user a brief introduction to 29 of the City’s most admired historic buildings. An appreciation of the buildings can be gained by viewing from the street. The interiors of the churches are particularly recommended, but public access is not available at all buildings.
