What happens during Neighbourhood Week?
Among the events that have been previously organised to celebrate Neighbourhood Week are barbecues, street parties, shared dinners, working bees, Halloween parties, colouring competitions, family fun days, children’s days, fairs, galas and neighbourhood planting days or you can choose your own unique way of meeting your neighbours or having a get-together. A small subsidy is available through the city’s Community Boards to assist with these events.
Put in your Neighbourhood Week application before 5.00 pm Friday 5 September 2008.
