The grand opening of the South Island's largest sculpture exhibition promises to be the biggest and best ever.

After 20 years of organising the event, the volunteer committee has decided to call it quits and will see the event go off with a bang.

The grand opening on the picturesque Louden Farm includes an auction featuring the works of many renowned and leading local artists, which is hosted by local identity, author, entertainer and raconteur Joe Bennett.

Guests at the grand opening also get first bite at the incredible artworks located within the buildings, barns and outdoor environs of the working farm. Entertainment is provided by local artists and performers.

$90 includes food and beverages.

Food and beverages are the very best of locally produced products prepared and served by members of the community, many of whom have been involved since the event began 20 years ago.

Profits from the event will be gifted to Cholmondeley Children's Centre.

Don't miss what will be the finale of a truly memorable event on the Canterbury arts calendar.

Please note: this event was originally scheduled for 5 November 2021.
