Scrooge are a live musical smorgasbord combining elements of funk, dub and rock. The band recommend bringing your dancing shoes when attending this fun, live show. It will be their debut performance at Lazy Sundays. Check out Scrooge on Facebook
Hannah and The Band
As an indie, soul, jazz and folk singer, Hannah weaves together songwriting influenced by the likes of Rufus Wainwright and Lianne La Havas, with the inspiration of producers like Still Woozy and Rostam. Hannah and The Band were recent finalists in the Canterbury University Battle of the Bands competition. Check out Hannah and the Band on Facebook
Run77 are a progressive indie-rock band from Christchurch. They started writing together in high school and went on to win Canterbury Rock Quest. The band have since continued to gain momentum, delivering many entertaining and high energy shows, which have earned them a very supportive local fan base. Check out Run 77 on Facebook
Please note Grow Ōtautahi – the Christchurch Garden Festival, will also be on in the gardens this weekend so we expect traffic to be busy. Please plan ahead and leave home early.
Carparking is available within the gardens, but capacity is limited. For this weekend, a one-way system will be set-up operated by traffic management, with entry via Armagh Street and exit via Riccarton Avenue.
The Gardens are conveniently located close to the central city and only a 10-minute walk from Cashel Street Mall, a 20-minute walk from Riccarton Mall and a 15-minute walk from New Regent Street.
Bike or scooter
There are bike racks at the three main entrances to the Gardens, Armagh and Riccarton Avenue carparks and Rolleston Avenue. Please leave scooters outisde of the gates.
Metro Bus #17 stops on Rolleston Ave. Please visit the Metro Christchurch website for information on bus routes and timetables. It’s only a 10 minute walk from the Bus Interchange to the Gardens.
There are thousands of car parks in the central city, use the interactive parking map to see what’s available. It’s only a short walk from The West End or Art Gallery parking buildings to the Gardens.
