The Council has approved the temporary closures of the following roads, for the following events, on the dates and times shown below.
Cycling New Zealand Criterium National Championships
Roads to be closed:
- Durham Street North, at the intersection of Bealey Avenue
- Durham Street North, between Armagh Street and Gloucester Street
- Cambridge Terrace, between Gloucester Street and Cashel Street
- Montreal Street, between Cashel Street and Gloucester Street
- Gloucester Street, between Montreal Street and Oxford Terrace
- Worcester Boulevard, between Montreal Street and Oxford Terrace
- Hereford Street, between Montreal Street and Oxford Terrace
- Cashel Street, between Montreal Street and Cambridge Terrace
Period of closures:
- From 10am to 9pm Sunday, 16 January 2022
These closures are to be made under paragraph 11(e) of the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974. These closures will apply to all vehicular traffic with the exception of emergency service vehicles, and vehicles directly involved with the event.
No resident access will be available during the period of these closures.
