Proposed Temporary Road Closures for Te Pae Public Open Day, SMART Christchurch Innovation Expo, Coast to Coast, Sea to Sky

The Council has received applications for the temporary closures of the following roads, for the following events, on the dates and times shown below.

Te Pae Public Open Day

Roads proposed to be closed:

  • Oxford Terrace, between Armagh Street and Gloucester Street
  • Gloucester Street, between Cambridge Terrace and Oxford Terrace

Proposed period of closures:

  • From 7am to 7pm Sunday, 13 February 2022 

SMART Christchurch Innovation Expo

Roads proposed to be closed:

  • Oxford Terrace, between Armagh Street and Gloucester Street
  • Gloucester Street, between Cambridge Terrace and Oxford Terrace

Proposed periods of closures:

  • From 7am to 6pm Sunday, 20th February 2022 
  • From 7am to 6pm Monday, 21 February 2022 

Coast to Coast

Road proposed to be closed:

  • Marine Parade, between Hawke Street and Beresford Street

Proposed period of closure:

  • From 6am Saturday, 12 February 2022 to 1am Sunday, 13 February 2022

Road proposed to be closed:

  • Lower Styx Road, between Marshland Road and 175m East to Janet Stewart Reserve carpark entrance

Proposed period of closure:

  • From 11am to 11pm Saturday, 12 February 2022

Sea to Sky

Roads proposed to be closed:

  • Summit Road, between Evans Pass Road and 1050m Southwest of Mt Pleasant Road
  • Summit Road, between Evans Pass Road and 15m West of the Taylors Mistake Walkway
  • Mount Pleasant Road, at the Summit Road intersection only

Proposed period of closures:

  • From 8am to 11am Sunday, 13 March 2022

These closures are proposed to be made under paragraph 11(e) of the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974. The proposed closures will apply to all vehicular traffic with the exception of emergency service vehicles, and vehicles directly involved with the events.

No resident access will be available during the period of these proposed closures.

Any person who wishes to object to the proposed closures may do so in writing to the Council Secertary, Christchurch City Council, PO Box 73016, Christchurch, no later than 3.00pm Friday 17 December 2021.
