For many years, the Christchurch City Council has organised lunchtime concerts in Cathedral Square on Fridays.
The concerts take place weekly throughout the year and feature all sorts of performances. Most feature local bands playing popular, folk and original music.
Where appropriate the concerts are themed to tie in with festivals taking place at the time. You can find out who is playing each week on www.bethere.co.nz.
Concerts may occasionally be cancelled due to poor weather, so we recommend checking with us before setting out if you are unsure.
