Waste

We are trying to reduce the amount of rubbish sent to landfill and encouraging students and schools to take a more active interest in reducing their waste and recycling more.

There are a number of ways you can get involved. The print resources listed can be adapted to support in-class learning around waste reduction and recycling, or you can incorporate a visit to the new waste management plants as part of our Learning Through Action Programme.

Schools can also apply to join the Council's Assisted Kerbside Recycling for Schools Programme.
