Whakahoa Village.
Units range in size from bedsits to a few four-bedroom units. The majority of units have one bedroom and all are self-contained (i.e. separate kitchen and bathroom).
Most are part of a housing complex where there are a number of other units joined together or nearby. Complexes vary in age and style and the oldest units were built in 1938. The newest Council-built complex, Whakahoa Village in Richmond (a 20-unit complex) opened in December 2007.
We are continuing to review the type of housing available to our tenants to ensure that, balanced with the aspect of affordability for tenants, the most appropriate type of housing is available.
