Christchurch Earthquake Mayoral Relief Fund
The Christchurch Earthquake Mayoral Relief Fund provides funding toward projects that contribute to the rebuilding of the social and physical infrastructure of Christchurch following the earthquakes.
The Fund focuses on projects such as repairing or rebuilding damaged community buildings or structures. However, projects that contribute to this outcome, such as getting specialist advice on the repair or rebuilding of an earthquake damaged community building or structure, may also be considered.
Donations can be made through BNZ bank: BNZ Account (Christchurch Branch, 129 Hereford St) - 02-0800-0849758-000.

Receipts
If you have made a donation by cheque you will automatically be issued a receipt as long as you have provided us with your contact details. If you have not yet received a receipt please email earthquakefund@ccc.govt.nz to request one.
If you have made a donation by direct deposit or electronic transfer you will need to request a receipt as we will not receive your contact details. Please email your request to earthquakefund@ccc.govt.nz and provide the following information:
• Date of deposit/electronic transfer
• Amount of donation
• Name of Account
• Account Number
As there are a number of earthquake related funds operating at present, please check what fund you have donated to.
Red Cross - 2011 Earthquake Appeal
This fund is focused on welfare issues providing emergency & hardship grants as well as bereavement grants.

The Christchurch Earthquake Appeal (NZ Government)
The New Zealand Government has launched an appeal to help the people of Christchurch and the Canterbury region during this time of great need. You can help make a difference by donating to the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal. The donations will be used to help the communities, families and people of Christchurch and the Canterbury region.
