Withdrawing a building consent or PIM application

The owner of a building may withdraw an application for a building consent or project information memorandum (PIM) at any time prior to commencement of the work.

Depending on the timing of the request, there may be either a refund or a charge for additional fees, as costs to date will be charged.

Applications must be made on the Withdrawal Request Form (B-014) [PDF 292KB] or use MS Word [DOC 247KB].

The Council will respond to this request with a confirmation including details of any refund or fees to pay (and where to pay these).

For more information contact a Building Consent Officer on (03) 941 8999 .
