Minor residential plumbing and drainage

To apply for a building consent for minor residential plumbing and drainage work, including simple subdivision drainage, instant hot water systems, and installing a toilet in a bathroom, please complete application form B-002 and checksheet B-067.

Changes to Schedule 1 of the Building Act 2004 allows for some minor plumbing and drainage work to be exempt from building consent (however, all work must comply with the Building Code). Refer to the Department of Building and Housing website for further information.
