The great outdoors

Culture and community

The Parakiore Recreation and Sport Centre is currently under construction. It will be the largest aquatic and indoor recreation and leisure venue of its kind in New Zealand.

There is a mix of housing types, including apartments, units and townhouses. There has been a lot of new housing growth in the neighbourhood in recent years, and this is expected to continue.

Christchurch East School, Catholic Cathedral College, Hagley College, Christs College and Ao Tawhiti are all within walking distance.
