2007

  • The Migrants Report 2007 is an ethnic demographic profile of Christchurch City’s minority migrant populations.

2006

  • The Census 2006 web pages provide easy access to the 2006 population and dwellings information relating to Christchurch City. It covers a variety of census variables including housing, education, marital status, occupation and qualifications. This data is at city wide, ward and area unit (suburb) level.

2005

  • The Community Outcomes monitoring programme pages report on the headline and key indicators identified for each of Christchurch's nine Community Outcomes (2006-12). This is a useful source of summary information across a broad variety of issues.

  • The Christchurch City Environmental Trends Report 2003 and Christchurch City Social Trends Report 2003 are the Council's state of the environment reports, and are a source of much of the information relating to Christchurch City. This is a good place to start to establish whether information is available on a particular issue.
  • The Quality of life national project monitors changing social conditions in New Zealand's largest urban areas (Rodney, North Shore, Waitakere, Auckland, Manukau, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington, Porirua, Hutt, Christchurch, Dunedin), and includes a broad range of social, environmental and economic indicators, with a well-being or "quality of life" focus. It also provides comparative data on resident perceptions on important quality of life issues.
