Skateboarding and inline skating

Washington Reserve Skate Park.

Washington Reserve Skate Park.

Skateboarders and inline skaters are allowed to ride on the footpath or road but must ride in a careful and considerate manner and at a speed that does not cause a hazard to others. Skateboarders and skaters must give way to everyone else on the footpath.

Scheduled upgrades

The Thomson Skate area upgrade was completed in June 2009. The skate area now has a bowl and transitional elements attached to the south-west end. The upgrade was led by Dave North, designer of the Reefton skate park.
