Jellie Park Recreation and Sport Centre

Welcome to Jellie Park Recreation and Sport Centre, Christchurch's only indoor and outdoor swimming complex.

Featuring two 25m indoor lane swimming pools and a fully equipped fitness centre with state of the art equipment, it is the home of fitness in the western part of Christchurch. During the summer enjoy the 50 metre heated outdoor pool, diving boards and hydroslides.

Jellie Park offers a full range of facilities:

Our recreation programmes and fitness classes are a fun active way to get healthy, or check out our weekly group fitness timetable. Swimsmart aquatic programmes including learn to swim classes and swim squads are also held at Jellie Park.

Please see the fees and charges for casual admission costs. For regular users our memberships are great value for money with no joining fee.

Opening hours

Indoor Pools

  • Monday - Friday, 5:30am - 9:30pm
  • Weekends and public holidays, 7am - 8pm
  • ANZAC day, 1pm - 8pm

Sunday Funday is back at Jellie Park.  1-4pm each Sunday between the 26th May and the 10th of November.  Cost is pool entry and normal pool rules apply.  Parents need to supervise their children.  Everyone is welcome, though activities are best suited for 8-13 year olds.

Fitness Centre

  • Monday - Thursday, 5:30am - 9:30pm
  • Friday 5:30am - 8pm
  • Weekends and public holidays, 7am - 8pm 
  • ANZAC day, 1pm - 8pm

Hydroslides

Indoor hydroslide - currently closed due to technical problems

  • Monday-Friday, 3.30pm - 6pm
  • Weekends & public holidays, 12noon - 6pm

Summer Outdoor hydroslides - now closed until next summer

Please note: Each child between the ages of 5 - 7 years must be accompanied on the Hydroslides by an adult (16+ years), 1 adult per child. Preschoolers are not permitted on the Hydroslides.
