General Information
The Centre has been named in memory of Graham Condon, a Christchurch City Councillor who was tragically killed in a cycling accident in September 2007. He was an elected Shirley-Papanui Councillor and Community Board member from 1995-1998 and was then elected as a Christchurch City Councillor (and appointed by the Council to the Shirley-Papanui Community Board) from 1998 until his death in 2007.
The Graham Condon Sports and Recreation Centre offers a full range of programmes and activities:
The new complex features:
A new eight-lane, ramped 25-metre indoor swimming pool
A ramped spa pool
A ramped learners' pool
A separate toddlers' pool with wet deck and water toys
An indoor sports hall
A new fitness centre
Free public WiFi access
Sports Halls
The Sports Hall and existing Papanui High School Sports Hall are used by Papanui High School during school hours, but are available to community groups to hire in the evenings and at weekends. The new Sports Hall (Sports Hall 1) is marked for Basketball, Netball and has three volleyball courts. The existing Sports Hall (Sports Hall 2) is marked for Basketball and four Badminton courts.

Parking
There is plenty of parking close to the facility on Sisson Drive just north of the tennis courts. Please do not park in Northlands Shopping Centre or elsewhere on the school grounds. Click on image below to see parking areas.
