Centennial Recreation and Sport Centre

If you work, live or are staying in the city then Centennial is the ideal recreation centre for you.

Located in the heart of Christchurch’s central business district, what better way to begin, break up, or end your day than a refreshing swim, an invigorating workout or a relaxing spa.

Centennial offers a wide variety of facilities and range of programmes and classes for both casual visitors and members. Please see the fees and charges for costs on memberships and hire.

We are committed to providing the public pool access at all times. This means that throughout our opening hours, some lanes will always be made available to the public in our 25m lap pool.

 

Directions

Centennial Leisure Centre is located at 181 Armagh Street, in the Central City, and is a walking distance from Cathedral Square. There are two entrances, Armagh Street or Oxford Terrace.

Parking

Approximately 54 metered car parks are available (including three disability and two, 10 minute parks.) 60 cents per hour, for the first two hours and $2.00 per hour after that.

Bike

There are six bike cages and 20 bike stands.

  • Monday–Friday, 6am–9pm
  • Weekends and public holidays, 7am–7pm
