The new Civic Building will have public spaces on three levels.
On the ground floor, directly accessed from Hereford Street, customers will have access to all Council services, such as the payment of all accounts, including rates and parking tickets, the purchase of rubbish/recycling bags, accessing building and resource consent application services and applying for social housing.
Level one, which can be directly accessed from Worcester Boulevard, is where the public café and main Council Function room are located.
On the second level are the Council Chambers and two committee rooms.
Directory boards in the public spaces will have colour-coded floor plans with directional arrows for easy orientation. Brief descriptions of what services are available in each area, such as at the service and cashier counters, will make it easy for customers to quickly access the right service.
