Get involved in your parks

Do you love your local parks and want to do something to help look after them? Would you like to learn more about how to take action for the environment, but not just from books or the web?

Here are some ways you can make a difference either on your own, or with your family, workmates, neighbours and other people like you. Check out the options then contact the Council to see how we can support your work.

Volunteer in your parks
Take part in an organised volunteer day, join a community group project or talk to us about how you can volunteer regularly in Christchurch parks and waterway reserves. Learn new skills, meet new people and be active and healthy while learning about your parks and contributing to the environment.

Corporate volunteering
Volunteer your colleagues. Talk to Council staff about options for employee volunteer days which are a great opportunity for team building and contributing to community while actively meeting your company’s sustainability values.

Donations and sponsorship
The Council welcomes contributions from individuals, groups or organisations for the benefit of our community and the city's environment.
