The central location, high visitor numbers and ambience make the Botanic Gardens a sought-after location for all types of occasions and events.
Demand must be managed carefully keeping in mind the main purpose of the Gardens, the visitor expectations and resources, as well as the impact on the environment. Since it is a public garden, no area may be hired exclusively.
All organised occasions or events need to have written authority of the Botanic Gardens management team.
Large groups such as extended families, schools, clubs or work groups, should first liaise with the Information Centre.
