Seasoned and budding photographers have shared how the gardens have inspired them through the Botanic Gardens Photo Competition.
Congratulations to all our winners, who were announced on the Botanic Gardens’ 150th anniversary, 9 July 2013.
The competition was launched in July 2012 so photographers had four seasons to capture the splendour of this beautiful public space. Prize judges Mayoress Jo Nicholls-Parker and Press Illustrations Editor Richard Cosgrove chose from a short-list of the 743 photos entered.
Thank you to everyone who entered this competition and shared their beautiful photos with us. All these images can be viewed on a screen at the Christchurch Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre.
All finalists will have their works printed and displayed in an exhibition at Canterbury Musuem in August 2013.
