Kennedy's Bush Track to Worsleys Track

About this ride

This is the longest ascent on the Port Hills and is technically straight forward and not too steep.

  • Start at the end of Kennedys Bush Road.
  • Climb gradually up the 4WD track that eventually joins the Summit Road (5.3 km).
  • Turn left onto Summit Road.
  • Follow Summit Road for 1.6 km.
  • Turn left up a short section of road (350m) to the top of the Worsleys Spur.
  • Descend down the heavily rutted 4WD Worlsely Track.
  • Arrive at Worsleys Road (2.6 km).

Note: Kennedys Track is closed during lambing – August to September.
