Free covered bike parking

The City Council provides free cycle parking in six Council owned car park buildings in the central city.

Earthquake Update

All Christchurch City Council car/cycle park buildings are closed because of emergency cordons and there is no public access allowed to any of the buildings.

Art Gallery car park, Gloucester St

The Art Gallery car park is currently closed to general public usage as it is currently for authorised parking only.

16 cycle stands. Cycle stands located close to the entrance/exit.

Crossing car park, Lichfield St

The Crossing Car Park on Lichfield Street is currently closed, due to being within the Red Zone since the Feb 22, 2011 earthquake.

36 cycle cages with capacity for 36 cycles. Cycle Stands are located on Kivers Lane, a separate entrance to the car park building. Cycle cages are with in a bigger cage, which is locked at night.

Lichfield St car park, Lichfield St

The Lichfield Street Car Park is currently closed, due to being within the Red Zone since the Feb 22, 2011 earthquake.

19 cycle cages with capacity for 19 cycles. Cycle stands are located on basement level past the entrance/exit barriers.

Hospital car park, Antigua/Tuam St (first floor)

The Christchurch Hospital car park building is currently closed for repairs.

Five cycle cages with capacity for five cycles. Cycle stands are located up the ramp on the first floor and close to entrance/exit barriers.

Oxford Terrace car park, Oxford Tce/Worcester St

The Oxford Terrace car park is currently closed, due to being within the Red Zone since the Feb 22, 2011 earthquake.

Seven cycle stands with capacity for 14 cycles. Cycle stands are located close to the entrance/exit.

Manchester St car park, Manchester St

The Manchester St car park is currently closed, due to being within the Red Zone since the Feb 22, 2011 earthquake.

14 cycle stands with capacity for 28 cycles. Cycle stands are located up the ramp on the first floor. Cycle stands are enclosed with in a cycle cage.
