Running an event in Christchurch

The Council's Events Development Team offer a one-stop-shop to guide you through the many services offered by Council to host a safe and quality event.

If you are considering holding an event either on Council-owned land, a managed park, greenspace or public area, you will need to seek the relevant information to book the location.

If your event has a stage, amplified sound, you are inviting the public or offering food or alcohol, you may also require specific consents and information.

Our account managers will help work out what you will need to do and by when, to ensure you have a successful event.
